    The Cleveland State Vikings participate in NCAA athletics in such sports as baseball, fencing, softball, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball, golf, soccer, swimming, and tennis. The campus Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) exists to establish a sense of camraderie and community among student athletes and encourage student athletes to get more involved in the community.

    Cleveland State University is an NCAA Division I school, with baseball, basketball, fencing, golf, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, and wrestling for men and basketball, cross-country, fencing, golf, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, and volleyball for women. The team nickname is the Vikings. There is also a cheerleading program.

    Sports facilities include a multipurpose arena, a soccer field, a swim center, a gymnasium, and a softball field.
